Young Black Kings (YBK) isn’t just a music label—it’s a movement, a mindset, and a mirror for the culture. Forged in Omaha from the heartbeat of community and the fire of resilience, YBK is a collective of artists, visionaries, and disruptors who channel raw talent into bold purpose. Every lyric, beat, and visual project is unapologetically crafted to empower, inspire, and amplify young Black voices.
Our mission runs deeper than music. It’s about meaning, legacy, and unity. We amplify the stories too often overlooked, curate events that bring the neighborhood together, and stand as a beacon of creative excellence grounded in community strength. We don’t just create—we represent. We challenge the norm, build legacy, and wear our crown with pride.
YBK’s origin traces back to 2019, when a circle of friends came together under the name BWCB—Blood Won’t Change Bond. Bound by shared passions for music and basketball, six Omaha natives—Isaiah (aka Nez), Vernon (aka 3K), Tim (aka Shmurda), Jaylin (aka J6), Tae (aka Oneway), and Sinye (aka 2Xface)—transformed friendship into family and energy into artistry.
In 2023, Nez sparked a rebirth: BWCB evolved into Young Black Kings, a name that embodied the group’s identity and vision. Since then, YBK The Label has surged forward—producing music videos, releasing multiple albums, performing at local venues, and carving its place in Omaha’s creative scene. Every member plays a hands-on role in engineering and production, building something real, raw, and rooted.
But YBK doesn’t just make noise—we make impact. Our team is actively engaged in community uplift, volunteering with The Urban Survival Club to mentor youth and support grassroots efforts. Through sound and service, YBK is claiming space, rewriting narratives, and leading with love and leadership.
This is YBK. This is the crown. And it’s worn by kings who rise together.
